Now Hiring · Lubbock, Texas

Come build something with us.

Private club energy without the country-club stiffness. If you take pride in your work and like being around good people, there's a place for you here.

The Feather is different. Golf · People · Place · Music. We're not a country club — and that's the point.

Why Red Feather

A growing club, and room to grow with it.

We opened in October 2023 and haven't slowed down — a full tournament calendar, a growing membership, and a new clubhouse landing in 2027. That means our team isn't standing still. There's real responsibility here, real mentorship, and a real path to your next step.

Responsibility early

Show up ready and you'll be trusted with real work fast — no parking you in a corner.

People-first

Members know the team by name. We hire for character and coach the rest.

A place with momentum

Get in while it's growing. The people who build this with us will grow right alongside it.

Food & Beverage · The Hook

Front-of-House Service Manager

Full-time · Competitive / DOE

Lead the service floor at The Hook — hire, train, and manage our food servers, set the standard for hospitality, and make sure every member and guest leaves wanting to come back. You're the one who turns a good kitchen into a great night out.

What you'd do

  • Train & develop the service team — onboarding, steps of service, wine & menu knowledge, and the little touches that make a private club feel like one.
  • Manage the floor — scheduling, sections, covers, and the flow of a busy dinner or tournament banquet.
  • Own the member experience — handle the room, know the regulars, fix problems before they become problems.
  • Run events — coordinate F&B service for club tournaments, socials, and private functions alongside the kitchen.

Who we're looking for

  • Restaurant or club service experience, ideally with some lead or training responsibility.
  • A natural teacher who can set a standard and bring a young team up to it.
  • Calm under a rush, warm with members, and detail-obsessed about the guest experience.
  • TABC & Food Handler certified (or willing to get certified quickly).

Golf Operations

Assistant Golf Professional

Full-time · $45,000–$55,000 base + lesson income

A first real job in the golf business — with the responsibility, mentorship, and teaching income to build a career on. Bring the work ethic; we'll help you build the résumé. You won't be parked behind a counter; you'll be in the middle of everything, learning the business by doing it, under a Director of Golf invested in getting you to your next role.

What you'd do

  • Run the golf shop — tee sheet, merchandise, opening and closing, making members feel known.
  • Work our events — The Rooster, the Bell Club Championship, the Masters Calcutta and more. Learn tournament operations on some of the best events in the section.
  • Teach and grow your book — lessons, clinics, junior programs. Your instruction income is yours to build.
  • Own the member experience — you're a familiar face people are glad to see.

Who we're looking for

  • PGA member or on the PGM apprentice track — or eligible to enroll and ready to start.
  • A genuine people person who'd rather be on the floor than hiding in the back.
  • Solid player with a real feel for the game — enough to teach a beginner and hang with a low handicap.
  • Hungry and coachable. We'll hand you responsibility fast if you show up ready for it.

Grounds & Facilities

Grounds & Facilities Technician

Full-time · Competitive / DOE

Keep Red Feather sharp — the kind of all-around hand who can run heavy equipment in the morning, fix a leaking faucet after lunch, and have the clubhouse grounds looking crisp for a weekend event. If you're handy, dependable, and take pride in a place that looks well cared for, this is your shop.

What you'd do

  • Operate heavy lawn & grounds equipment — mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles and the like, safely and well.
  • General handyman work — light electrical, plumbing, carpentry and small repairs around the clubhouse and grounds.
  • Groundskeeping & clubhouse upkeep — landscaping, cleanup, and keeping the property looking its best for members and events.
  • Preventive maintenance — spot the small stuff before it becomes a big repair, and keep equipment serviced.

Who we're looking for

  • Comfortable on heavy equipment and around tools — mechanically inclined and safety-minded.
  • A real jack-of-all-trades — electrical, plumbing, and general repairs don't scare you off.
  • Dependable and self-directed — you see what needs doing and handle it without being told twice.
  • Valid driver's license and able to work some weekends around events.
